Team Management: Adding and Managing Team Members
Invite staff in Ordafy Business Team settings, assign permissions, and keep POS, orders, and payouts limited to the right people.
Why Team matters
Team (/team) controls who can enter your Business workspace—and with which permissions (products, orders, financials, POS, marketing, and more). Good role hygiene protects customer data and bank payouts.
Step 1: Open Team
- In Management, open Team (
/team). - Review current members and roles.
- Invite a new member with their email and intended role.
Step 2: Match permissions to jobs
- Counter staff: POS till access, limited financials
- Fulfilment: Orders and Inventory without payout controls
- Marketers: Marketing without bank settings
- Admins: Settings, Billing, Payouts, Business Group
Step 3: Day-to-day hygiene
Remove leavers promptly. Re-check POS and financial permissions after role changes. Use Notes and Support for handovers instead of sharing personal logins.
Step 4: Groups and billing owners
If you operate under a Business Group, owners manage shared billing via Billing (/settings/billing) and Business Group (/group). Keep only trusted admins on those screens.
Frequently asked questions
Can two people use the same login?
Do not share credentials. Invite separate users so audit trails and permissions stay accurate.
Someone cannot see Orders—why?
Their role likely lacks product/order read permission. An admin updates this under Team.
Who should finish Stripe onboarding?
A billing/financial admin with legal authority for the business—see payout onboarding.
Build a safe roster
Invite your first teammate under /team, then align ops with POS till sales and settings. Collaboration ideas: team collaboration.
