Order Management: Tips for Managing Orders and Customers
Practical Ordafy order habits: triage queues, customer records, SLAs for dispatch, and clean handoffs between Shop and staff.
Build a daily order habit
Open Orders (/products/orders) on a schedule—not only when someone complains. Triage unpaid/failed, paid-unfulfilled, and completed queues separately.
Tip 1: Name an owner
Use Team roles so one person (or shift) owns fulfilment. Record exceptions in Notes.
Tip 2: Read the whole line
Check variants, custom field answers, promo discounts, and delivery notes before packing. Wrong-size mistakes usually start here.
Tip 3: Customers screen
Customers (/customers) shows repeat buyers across products and services. Use it before issuing goodwill refunds or personal offers.
Tip 4: Align channels
Shop, POS, and Payment Links can all create payable activity. When reconciling, filter by date and confirm channel so you do not double-ship.
Tip 5: Communicate early
If a delay hits, message the customer promptly (see customer communication). Silent delays create chargebacks.
