Getting Started: Listing Your Service on Ordafy

Create and publish a bookable Ordafy service in Business: details, variants, GBP pricing, availability, and how customers book on Shop.

What this guide covers

Ordafy Business is where you run bookable services. Customers discover and reserve time on Ordafy Shop; you manage listings under Services (/services), appointments under Bookings (/services/bookings), and your diary on Calendar (/calendar). This walkthrough takes you from organisation setup to a published listing customers can book.

Step 1: Open Ordafy Business as a service provider

  1. Sign in to Ordafy Business and confirm you are in the correct organisation (use the sidebar switcher if you belong to more than one).
  2. New providers start at Become a provider and choose a services-capable organisation type.
  3. Complete your business profile under Settings so Shop can show a trustworthy storefront.
  4. Open Payouts (/payouts) and finish Stripe Connect before you expect card deposits or full payment at booking—see payout onboarding.

Step 2: Create a service listing

In the sidebar, open Services (/services) and create a new service. The creation wizard walks through:

  • Basic info: Name, short description, full description, category, and service type (virtual, home visit, on-site, or hybrid).
  • Pricing & duration: One default package or multiple variants (for example Standard / Premium, 30 min / 60 min) with fixed, hourly, daily, weekly, or project pricing in sterling (or your organisation currency).
  • Media & publish: Cover image, optional gallery, then draft or publish when ready.

Keep fees transparent for UK customers—review current options on Pricing.

Step 3: Set when customers can book

Availability has two layers in Ordafy:

  • Organisation hours: Open Availability (/settings/availability) for working days, timezone, and blocked date ranges that apply across services.
  • Per-service calendar: From a service, open its calendar to block specific dates or times, or connect calendar sync where enabled (see calendar sync).
  • Booking approval: In service settings, choose manual review, calendar-sync-driven availability, or auto-accept when slots fit your rules.

Also set minimum booking notice, how far ahead people can book, and cancellation policy so Shop checkout matches what you can deliver.

Step 4: Review the public Shop experience

Published active services can appear on Shop and on your provider page. Preview the listing, confirm variant names and prices look right, and copy the Shop service URL to share. For your own website, use share links or embeds—see website integration.

Step 5: Manage bookings once they arrive

Incoming appointments land in Bookings (/services/bookings). Confirm or decline pending requests, message customers, track payment status, and mark completed or no-show as needed. Day-to-day overview: managing bookings. Keep customer records tidy under Customers (/customers).

Tips that convert

  • Lead with outcome, duration, location (or remote), and price—not jargon.
  • Use real photos of the work or space, not only a logo.
  • Keep Availability and Calendar current so you do not decline good bookings.
  • Respond to pending requests within a business day.
  • After completed appointments, encourage fair reviews on Shop.

Frequently asked questions

Products vs services—which should I create?

Use Services for bookable time with availability. Use Products for goods and digital items sold as orders. Many UK businesses run both under one organisation.

Do I need payouts before I can draft a service?

You can draft listings anytime. Card checkout and deposits on Shop need completed Payouts (/payouts).

Where do customers book?

On Ordafy Shop—browse services, pick a package and slot, then pay or request as configured. Walkthrough for buyers: finding and booking services.
